- Distances -

KIDS TRI-4-FUN
15 yd swim, 1 mile bike 1/4 mile run

MONUMENT SPRINT TRIATHLON
1/3 mile Swim, 14.9  mile bike, 3.1 mile run - Swim is in Monument Lake. Water temperature is anticipated to be anywhere between 65 - 72 degrees -- so Wetsuits are optional per USAT rules; Bike course two times around is a hilly looped course; Run is an out-and-back trail course with some slight upgrades and downhills

In the event that drought conditions might exit in July 2004 at Monument Lake, the location of the event will be moved to the Woodmoor Country Club in Monument. The SWIM would take place in the Country Club's Indoor AND Outdoor pools (sequentially for each competitor ...) with a 5 second start wave between each swimmer. Start Order and Start Time would be based on predicted Swim time.  When registering online or by hardcopy entry form, PLEASE be sure to include an accurate predicted time for a 500 yard swim so that slower swimmers do not hold back faster swimmers. On the hardcopy entry form please write the predicted swim time on the same line as your name. Example: Name_______________ Predict Swim 500 Yds ________________ THANKS VERY MUCH.  While we don’t think that this will be necessary – we do want to be prepared
